Want to lose weight but tired of weight loss gimmicks? Follow this sensible advice.

1. Eat only real food: how much of what you eat comes from a box? If it’s processed, it’s probably no good for you. Real foods are the foods that you find in the fruit and vegetable aisle of your grocery store. Come in a box? Read the ingredients. If there are too many, or the names of the ingredients are unpronounceable, then don’t buy it. In doubt? Leave it. Fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates and lean proteins should be your diet. Don’t waste your money on processed foods that will only bog you down.

Madeleine & KeiraSince my daughter was born, whenever she would get a cold, it would go straight to her lungs. We used to have to put her to sleep in her stroller at night when she was sick, because the incline would help her breathe through the congestion. Then, when she was two, she got a really bad cold, and her breathing was so shallow and labored that my husband and I rushed her to the hospital in the middle of the night.

The next three days were the worst days of my life. I had to hold my scared daughter in my lap and restrain her arms every hour while doctors covered her face with a respirator mask for two minutes and administered an asthma medication that made her heart race and her stomach queasy. She was hooked up to oxygen tubes and her oxygen levels were monitored, and I spent two sleepless nights running after nurses every time the machine beeped because her oxygen was low. To see her like that, attached to machines and looking so scared and demoralized, was heartbreaking. The worst part was, there was nothing I could do except comfort her.

After she was released from the hospital, whenever she got sick I would give her the orange and the blue ‘puffers.’ But I worried about how these steroids would affect her growth and development. About six months later, I started taking Protein Extreme Energy. My daughter always wanted to drink from my glass, so after checking that it was okay for kids, I began to give her a Protein Extreme Energy shake every morning. The difference in her health was noticeable within a few months, when cold season started back up. While all the other kids were out with fevers and chronic runny noses, she just had the sniffles for a few days. She’s almost four years old now, and she hasn’t had an asthma attack since she started taking Protein Extreme Energy – and I haven’t had to use any asthma medication with her at all. I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to see my daughter growing up healthy and strong. Thanks for making such a great product!
